Here at OT Works 4 Kidz we offer several group programs. We recognize the benefit of working alongside peers with the support of trained therapists to help build skills needed to succeed. We combine a sensory and behavioral approach and bring evidence based practice, expertise, and knowledge to offer a dynamic group setting. We place children into the most appropriate group based on their age, developmental level, and individual needs.
Group sessions intertwine the development of self-regulation and coping strategies needed for social success. Cooperative play and group games also offer the opportunity for acquisition of skills.

Social and emotional learning is the process through which we acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions. It allows us to set and achieve goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. Just as work, play, and activities of daily living are vital to our lives, being social is an important human occupation.
