What is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy addresses delays and limitations in the areas of gross motor development, motor planning, and developing typical patterns of movement. Not only do we focus on a child's ability to complete a movement pattern, but we also consider the quality of their movement. More specifically we address muscle tone and strength, range of motion, posture, coordination, balance, gait training, orthotic needs, and sensory integration to allow your child to develop as they should and keep up with their peers. We creatively customize games and activities tailored to meet your child's needs making the hard work of therapy fun.  We address impairments related to injury, disease or congenital conditions.  We’ll cheer right along with you when they take those first steps, play catch with you for the first time, or are confident enough to play outside with their friends.
